  6. Welcome to WIN7PLUS! I think I am right in saying this forms one
  7. of the first true Windows versions of 7+. You should have
  8. received 3 files when you got WIN7PLUS :-
  9.  
  10. WIN7PLUS.EXE -      The Windows .EXE file
  11. WIN7PLUS.TXT -      This file
  12. 7PLUS.DLL -    The 7+ `engine'
  13.  
  14. This software is `hamware'. That means that as long as it is
  15. used within the scope of amateur radio, no charge is made for
  16. its use. In the unlikely event somebody want to use it outside
  17. that scope, pay me!

  19. The only other restriction I put on it, is that when passed
  20. around it is kept in its entirity. ie the above three files are
  21. always present. Other than that, do what you want with it.

  23. You should put the above files in a directory on your harddisk, 
  24. say WIN7PLUS, and then create an icon for it in Program manager.
  25. When you run WIN7PLUS.EXE, a .INI file will be created - you need
  26. to change the FilePath parameter to describe where you want all
  27. 7+ files to be written. Failure to do this may result in an
  28. Path not found error.

  30. All the error messages are kept within WIN7PLUS.INI.  These can
  31. be altered, so versions for different languages can be made.

  33. Half the reason for writing this was as an example of how to use
  34. the DLL, which I also wrote. The DLL is available for developers
  35. to use with the same few conditions. With the DLL is the Visual
  36. Basic source code for this program.

  38. Thats it! I will be updating the DLL soon to bring it up-to-date
  39. with the current versions of 7+ (2.15 or maybe 2.17).
